Paper (regular paper or abstract) submission

IEEE EUROCON 2025 welcomes submissions related to aspects or area of defined tracks, special sessions and worhshops.

There are two types of submissions and it is up to the author(s) to decide which one of them they will use. These types of submissions are:

  • Regular papers published in IEEE Xplore,
  • Abstracts (works in progress or business project summaries) for a poster demonstration.

Regular papers published in IEEE Xplore

Prospective Authors of regular papers (i.e. professional papers, student paper, papers for special sessions as well as for workshops) are invited to submit a paper limited to minimum length of five (5) pages and a maximum of six (6) pages in standard IEEE two-column format including references and graphs. All papers must be written in standard English and prepared in compliance with the paper formatting template. The papers that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

Papers must be prepared at the highest level of quality for inclusion in the conference proceedings (as well as for the acceptance step where the review is done).

The paper should contain a complete description of the proposed contribution along with results, suitably framed in the related state of the art. Each paper will be reviewed in terms of relevance with respect to the scope of the event, originality and quality of the technical content, overall organization and writing style.

Papers must be prepared using IEEE templates for conference proceedings (format A4) which are available through the following link: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Papers need to be submitted in pdf format through the CMT  conference papers submission system.

Review process results: Each paper will be reviewed in terms of relevance with respect to the scope of the event, originality and quality of the technical content, overall organization and writing style. The review process is single-blind, i.e. author(s) cannot see the reviewers. The following review outcomes are possible:

  • Accepted  – your paper has been accepted without the need for any changes. You now need to upload the final camera ready (publication) files and a separated PDF file with your response to reviewers’ questions and comments, together with a signed PDF file with a copyright agreement and perhaps other formal documents.
  • Revision  – you need to revise the paper and upload its new PDF version. If your paper has been accepted after revision, you will be asked for the camera ready (publication) files.
  • Rejected  – your paper is not suitable for the conference.
  • Desk Rejected – your paper has been rejected without being sent for peer review because it does not fit the scope of the conference, does not meet the formal requirements, or is of low quality..

Conference proceedings: Accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings, available on IEEE Xplore and indexed in key databases such as DBLPSCOPUSEi Compendex, and IEEE. The authors of selected best papers will be invited to extend their contributions for special issues.

Authors of regular papers, accepted for presentation at the conference and for inclusion in the conference proceedings, must register for Full Registration.

Abstracts (works in progress or business project summaries) for a poster demonstration

Abstracts cater to:

  • researchers who aim to present their work and discuss it during IEEE EUROCON 2025 but cannot publish it as a regular conference paper (e.g., due to security or formal issues), or those presenting preliminary research ideas that are not yet sufficiently developed for a full conference paper but are suitable for a poster presentation, are welcome,
  • participants from business willing to share their projects, present and discuss them during the conference so as to receive feedback from both academia and (other) business participants. Business project summaries will not be published in the proceedings, but presented as a poster.

Abstracts, limited to one (1) page, must be prepared using the appropriate template and submitted in the form of a PDF file through the CMT  conference papers submission system.

Submissions may be rejected without being sent to the reviewers if they do not comply with the required format, length or if they do not lie within the scope of the conference.

(As with regular papers,) abstracts will be reviewed by experts in the respective field, and the Track Chairs will decide on their acceptance or rejection.

When submitting the abstract, the authors of business project summaries should choose the following track: Abstracts (works in progress or business project summaries).

Researchers or participants from business with an accepted abstract for a poster presentation are welcome to register as an Attendee (without a paper), not as a Full Registration.

Please remember: Each accepted paper (regular paper or abstract) must be presented by one of its authors, who must register for the conference and pay the participation fee.
