Special Session AISoT
AI based security of IoT devices in smart homes
Short description
There are more and more IoT devices on the market that can be used in different areas of homes and houses, and their use is growing thanks to affordable goods. However, the level of information security awareness and knowledge of users is not always sufficient to choose and use these products carefully.
Another aspect is that the hardware characteristics of IoT devices limit the level of cryptographic protection they can provide due to their computational capacity.
Artificial Intelligence is nowadays being used quite widely. In the IoT field, it can help to enhance protection, cluster events, identify the specific habits of the occupants, resulting in both reduced energy consumption and increased security.
In the special session, we are looking for research results that highlight the use of IoT devices in smart homes supported by artificial intelligence and analyse the changes in their security level.
